Five Decades of Wankhede: Sugee Group & MCA Celebrate a Cricketing Icon

Some stadiums are just venues. Wankhede is something else entirely. On January 19, 2025, the Mumbai Cricket Association hosted a grand celebration to mark 50 years of this iconic ground, with Sugee Group as the proud Title Sponsor.  

Hosts Mandira Bedi, Prasanna Sant, and Jatin Sapru set the tone for an emotional and entertaining evening. Performances by Avadhoot Gupte and Ajay-Atul and a spectacular laser show kept the crowd captivated. Ravi Shastri, Ajinkya Rahane, Sachin Tendulkar, Diana Edulji, Shreyas Iyer, and Yashasvi Jaiswal were among the legends who attended, paying tribute to the stadium and the unsung groundsmen and support staff who keep it running.  

Mr. Nishant Deshmukh, Founder and Managing Partner of Sugee Group, shared: "Contributing to this event was a heartfelt tribute to Mumbai's spirit and the timeless memories it creates for generations."
