India's wealthy homebuyers are not holding back, and the real estate market is reflecting that confidence in a big way. Total sales value across India's top seven property markets grew 18% to ₹279,309 crore in H1 FY 2024-25, according to CREDAI-MCHI, with the average home price rising to ₹1.23 crore from ₹1 crore the previous year.
Demand is coming from every direction. NRIs, HNIs, and domestic buyers are all chasing premium addresses, while 25% of luxury buyers are snapping up holiday homes and villas as long-term investments.
Mr. Nishant Deshmukh, Founder and Managing Partner of Sugee Group, explained what this shift means on the ground: "At Sugee Group, we see this every day. Buyers are not just investing in property; they are investing in a way of life. Our developments like Sugee Sea Krest and Marina Bay in Worli are built to meet exactly that expectation, combining modern design with world-class amenities in the heart of South Mumbai."
The luxury housing boom is not a flash in the pan. It is a fundamental shift in how Indians think about home, lifestyle, and investment.
